An ongoing UCLA research of ‘wired homes’ (homes where everyone has internet and computers) found that these families are spending just 4 minutes a day of uninterrupted time.  American kids are spending far greater volumes of time engaged with machines, peers and institutions and are critically disconnected from adults.
